Artist Interview: Wesley Ignacio

 

Tell us about yourself and your music

First of all, hello to everyone. I’m Wesley Ignacio, I’m 19 years old, from Brazil. I consider myself as a music producer, not a DJ or an entrepreneur. Music producer because is that I make, music. Now, I’m producing my debut album that will be named “#Alone”, which features about 14 unpublished Pop / R&B songs with a special romantic feeling and a pinch of Electronic Music.

 

Talk to us more about your latest release

So, my last song was a very special song. The name is “Christmas is coming now”, it’s special because it’s my first original song with my own voice, until the moment this song was released. I just had published some remixes and one song instrumental.

What inspired you to write this release?

I started producing this song in February and it would be part of my debut album, but it started to sound like a Christmas song and I thought: “Why not release a Christmas song?” So… I made! (Laughs). But different than I was thinking, I decided to release it in December as a Single.

Any plans to release a video?

Oh sure, for my first album I need to do it.

 

 

Who have you been listening to lately?

I say I listen to a lot of music. Sometimes I get scared about it (laughs). But, I could say that I enjoy listening mainly to mainstream songs, in addition to enjoying it a lot, I understand how the music industry is going.

 

Tell us about your passions

I really like to learn, to discover new things. Every new song I hear is kind of a challenge to me. I play piano, sometimes just a piano in front of me in a dark room and done, I spend hours there (laughs).

What else is happening next in your world?

In addition to the musical career, I’m studying a college now the name of the course is “Public Relations” on UEL, university of Brazil, next to where I live, I quite like the area of communication.
