Artist Interview: Superstarr Loveshakk
Tell us about yourself and your music
Formed in September of 2014. It’s members are influenced by many different styles of music. From Classic Rock to Metal , Hardcore to Hairbands , Punk to Country.
Talk to us more about your latest release
We just released our first full length album in April of 2016 called “Moon Lake Dr.”
We wrote, recorded and produced the album our self, every sound on that album we created, no downloads of sound bits etc…The album features 11 songs and can get purchased VIA CD, DOWNLOAD or USB.
What inspired you to write this release?
We had been writing several songs for it and decided it was time to get a full length album out after we released our first demo
Any plans to release a video?
Yes we are working on getting a bunch of clips together for a video idea we have, next is to save the money to produce it. We want a proffessional looking video and understand it will cost a bit to make it happen, so we have timelined our idea and hope to have it out soon.
Any plans to hit the road?
Yes!!
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
We have our own merchandise, we have a stand with lights and graphics on it we setup at shows, we have banners for the stage and other items to market and brand our name on our shoestring budget
Who have you been listening to lately?
Old 90’s rock and metal, new age music is lacking creativity these days.
Tell us about your passions
Having to pay our bills! Lolz, most of us have responsibilities that force us outta bed….If we were on tour, that would be our reason.
What else is happening next in your world?
We are in the studio recording our second full length album that will blow peoples minds.
Thanks for an awesome interview, Curran!
