Tell us about yourself and your music

Our project is called, “We Are Resolute” we feature Dale Thompson vocalist from Bride! We also have Rex Carroll from Whitecross doing our mix/master!

I’m self-taught on guitar didn’t begin playing until I was 35 (I’m about to turn 54)

My drummer John Mokma does bass as well as all early recording stuff.

I write the lyrics and come up with the music.

Talk to us more about your latest release

Our first release is titled, “Shine the Light.” It has (10) songs on it. The project has been called classic rock with a twist of today… to us it just rocks!

Two songs are currently online in stores and streaming services! (iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer, Google Music Spotify, etc)

What inspired you to write this release?

Inspiration by God to reach the lost and help encourage the believer!

Describe the writing and recording process

I use a 4 track recording app on my phone or my video recorder on my phone, record basic rhythm and lyrics then show to my drummer and then if we both like the concept, we record and get creative!

Any plans to release a video?

Any plans to hit the road?

No plans to tour since Dale Thompson lives in New Zeeland. Maybe if this kicks off and the Lord leads we could assemble a band, we’d need a singer, bassist and a second guitarist.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

We’re just getting our feet wet at this point! We need to complete this project and see where God leads us.

We use Distrokid right now to distribute our songs.

Having Dale Thompson from Bride doing vocals and Rex Carroll from Whitecross doing the mix/master is pretty awesome!

Who have you been listening to lately?

A little bit of Rush because of the passing of Neal Peart, our stuff, Bride and Whitecross!

Who are your biggest influences?

Rex Carroll from Whitecross inspires me, and Paul Jackson from Bloodgood I use similar pick tapping to do my soloing.

Tell us about your passions

My passions are music, art, God, and family!

I do all of the artwork for our project.

I’m also a sportswriter for, Bucs Life Media.

What else is happening next in your world?

After we’re finished with this project,  I’ve got many songs written already waiting for project # 2
