Bootleg Dynasty’s Debut Release is Finally Here

It has been a long time coming but the debut release from the down home, fun loving, good ole boys, Bootleg Dynasty, is finally here. "Moving At Night" was released on Dec, 31, 2013 and lives up to and exceeds all expectations.
It has been a whirlwind year for the North Carolina natives. First, signing with Lathan Entertainment early in 2013, the year got off to a great start and just kept getting better and better. After traveling to the DC Metro area, where Lathan Entertainment is headquartered, to put the final touches on “Moving At Night” and begin work on their second album, they returned to North Carolina to find that things were a buzz and the catalyst was their band.
Bootleg DynastyWWAY TV-3 got wind of the project and imminent release and featured them on a segment called “Extraordinary People”. A few months later, they were informed that they had been nominated for a Carolina Music Award. They had no idea that on that night in July, they would emerge as the winners of the 2013 Carolina Music Awards Artist of the Year. The band had been playing locally and receiving rave reviews and were welcomed and enthusiastically received wherever they played. Still, it came as a huge shock and surprise when they learned that they were nominated for the prestigious award. It was a numbing and humbling experience when they learned that they had actually won.
The buzz continued to grow and grow. Soon it was time for the CD release party. The band was becoming very popular and were graciously invited to hold their CD release party at Ziggy’s by the Sea. The local record store, Gravity Records had contacted them to set up an in store signing and live performance. A local brewery, Good Vibes Brewery jumped on board as a sponsor and, just 1 week before the event, one of the most popular radio stations in the area, 98.3 The Penguin had picked up the record and had put the band in rotation.
Now, the cd is out and everyone can witness the, self proclaimed, Rowdy Americana Boys for themselves. For these 4 guys, Brad Lackey, Trevor Havelka, Ryan Curry and Daniel Nowell, music is a true labor of love and passion that is deeply ingrained in their hearts and souls and when you listen to their music, this fact is blatantly obvious. Their lyrics are profound and intriguing yet simple, familiar and soothing all at the same time. Their music is sometimes soothing, sometimes raw, sometimes hard and in your face but always energetic and fun. The songs tell stories that everyone can relate to and touches the heart.
