The Southern Sound Gets Heavy: Wolf Hollow Revival

Wolf Hollow Revival Releases Hard Hitting New CD, “Deal With The Devil.”

The eclectic rock group of Wolf Hollow Revival has released their new cd, which captures their unique southern, hard rock, bluesy sound! The album and their musical style have received rave reviews for its originality and bold expression.

Playing Rock-n-Roll ‘til they die, or it kills them first!

Wolf Hollow RevivalWolf Hollow Revival, a southern based band from Tennessee has just released their brand new album, “Deal with the Devil,” which highlights the group’s eclectic rocking sound. The band has been called the “Dynamic Duo” by SmashEx Productions of Hollywood because Rob Dunaway (guitar and vocals) and Cora Dunaway (Drums and Background Vocals) are “the real deal!” The new album, “Deal with the Devil” is a raw, rebellious, in your face sound mixing old school rock and roll styles of AC/DC, The Doors, Dio, and Judas Priest with today’s contemporary artists, such as The Black Keys and White Stripes.

Rocking every place in the US!

The group has played everywhere on national tours from Alabama through Ohio, Colorado, and all the way to such famous clubs as The Whisky-A-Go-Go, The House of Blues, and The Viper Room in Hollywood, CA, and they have opened for national acts such as Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams III, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Edgar Winter, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and Drivin’ N’ Cryin’.

Recording original music that breaks grounds!

The group’s second album, “Under the Trees,” is a concept album drawing from the experience of living in nature and dealing with society, while the group’s new album, “Deal with the Devil” faces down the problems of society by rebelling in ways other bands have only mentioned.

A unique sound that is able to hang with the best.

“This album is going to be harder than the first WHR album and smack you in the face with social and environmental commentary as well as provide lyrics and beats that promote the free, rebel spirit in all of us. We can be serious and have a good time, and it is time someone pushed the envelope” stated Rob Dunaway.

Raving reviews accent WHR’s original sound and appeal for the return of rock-n-roll!

Eugene Foley, of Foley Entertainment,’ called the band’s music, “A great blend of southern influence and hard rock!” Buddhaman, from KONG Radio in Hollywood, California, calls their music “original and outstanding,” while 360 Magazine says that “Wolf Hollow Revival features tid bits of Woodstock, melodramatic beats, and guitar, along with soulful pipes that keep you listening!”

The “Real Deal”

Harder rock riffs and powerful vocals and lyrics make-up songs like the title track “Deal with the Devil” and “Wicked Games” while melodic metal tones resonate throughout songs like “Tarantula” and “We’re All Mad Now” that also hint of the “rockabilly” spirit from the south. The album is also sprinkled with phantasmagorical elements heard in such songs as “Wolf Moon Rising” and “The Vampire Song (Nasferatu).” A combination of Jim Morrison, Ian Ashbury, and Johnny Cash, Rob’s soulful and powerful vocals and guitar skills are an explosion of hard rock sexuality and testosterone that integrate the band’s Southern Rock and Blues roots.

Keeping it real!

“You either hate or love rock-n-roll. Either way, it is all good. We play music that comes from the soul that is real and relates to real people,” stated Rob.

More than just a band!

Rob has recorded and produced all of WHR’s music, and he produces and records jingles and catchy songs for tv, movies, and any company looking for a cutting edge producer through his business of WHR Studios. The band and outside musicians can produce any style of music or genre and write memorable hooks. “If you need the jingle that folks want to hum in their head, we can make it happen!”
