Rhythm, hustle, swag. Born outside Chicago and based in Phoenix,
Calicoe G is one of the latest sensations to blow up the Southwestern
music scene with an arsenal of mixtapes and his own burgeoning company,
Cali Co. Productions. Now with a new single “Re’D Up” featuring Grammy
nominee Knoc-Turn’Al hitting the airwaves as well as readying his 3rd
album Reporting for Duty for release, this is his time to shine.
With
8 years of professional recording experience under his belt, Calicoe
G’s “Re’D Up” is just the latest triumph to break through onto the indie
hip hop scene. Set to a thumping, pulsating beat and featuring
Knoc-Turn’Al along with Juicy J, the single is slated to appear on Coast 2 Coast Live Mixtapes Radio DJs in Winter 2013.
After releasing 2 full-length albums and 7 mixtapes, Calicoe G is back in the studio to put the finishing touches on his 3rd official release, Reporting for Duty. Inspired by a difficult childhood and life growing up on the streets of Joliet, his rhymes are sculpted from truths and experiences many of us will never know.
Also coming down the pipeline is the latest compilation album from Calicoe G’s own Cali Co. Productions, C-V-S One Vein. Joined by Shadow Da Unseen from Orlando and Ogden’s Vidal Jones, the trio is pooling their talents together to build the budding project into the best production company in the Southwest.
Calicoe G started writing and purchasing recording equipment by the age of 14, releasing his first album N Trouble Now in 2005. He founded Cali Co. Productions in 2008 and began working with other up and coming artists while performing in locations such as Atlanta, Las Vegas and Hollywood. His latest mixtape International Hitz…Sounds of Real Times was released in 2013 via DatPiff.
