Introducing Council of Kings
Five musical forces from New York have joined forces to form the next
dynamic super group destined to leave their mark on the industry as
Council of Kings. Driven by a diverse range of influences and decades of
experience, each member contributes their unique perspective and talent
to generate a truly one-of-a-kind sound that’ll have listeners
screaming for more each and every time. Now working on their debut album
set for release in 2014, this fivesome is ready to hit the airwaves
with a bang.
Built by Scean Sharp (vocals/guitar/bass), Leroy Hamilton (guitar/bass/vocals), Yata Yo (keyboards), Black Lion (hand drums) and Terry Blain (bass), Council of Kings play a captivating blend of pop-reggae that feeds off the influences of both yesterday and today. Inspired by greats such as Bob Marley and Michael Jackson, the group feeds off the leadership of primary songwriters Sharp and Hamilton as they continue to prepare for the launch their first record in early 2014.
Council of Kings’ rich musical history begins with Hamilton, who plays guitar and bass while helping to write and produce songs with Sharp. Having shared the stage with bands such as The Skatalites, Burning Spear, The Wailers Band, Richie Storm and others, he brings decades of experience and knowledge to the group as they ready themselves for launch into the musical stratosphere.
While Council of Kings continues to perfect their debut release, fans can get a little taste of their influence with streaming audio from both Scean Sharp and Leroy Hamilton’s official Jango radio pages.
