Los Angeles — Tuesday, May 19th, 2020 — LOS ANGELES — Female psychedelic rock artist The Waking Point is set to release her first EP August 2020.

Following the release of her self-produced single “Rose-Colored Violence” in April, The Waking Point’s Sadie Belica is eager to share her complete DIY dark rock project with fellow lovers of 90s music.

Fans of Nirvana and Alice in Chains will find a new source of musical therapy, with modernized production and dark, gripping, melodies. The psychedelic aspect contains an evocative weirdness authentic to the artist’s personality and musical spirit, as she is a self-professed to infatuate of Kurt Cobain.

“I’ve always been inspired by the words of Cobain: ‘Dreaming to be someone else is a waste of who you are,’” Belica said. “I’m no longer dreaming to be anyone but me, and my music is the truest expression of myself.”

The combination of a heavy rock sound with moody vocal arrangements is the overlying theme on her upcoming EP.

In anticipation of the release, the artist is releasing two singles, “Rose Colored Violence” (April 2020) and “Bad Girl” (June 2020) to stir hard rock listeners on all platforms.
