Young T the Messenger Prepares Sophomore Album
In this life it’s Young T versus the world. One of Chicago’s newest up and coming hip hop stars is back at it and better than ever, preparing to release his second full-length album The Year of Static 2: Messenger Vs. The World in winter 2013. With a number of mixtapes and singles under his belt and radio airplay picking up around the internet, 2014 will be his time to shine.
The Year of Static 2: Messenger Vs. The World serves as the follow up to Young T’s first album from July 2012, The Year of Static, which was released amidst a flurry of mixtapes throughout the year. A nonstop songwriting machine and rhyming phenomenon, his latest album will be followed by two more releases, including the Fallen City EP and A Flipped Way of Life mixtape.
While combing through Young T’s current catalog, notions of hip hop superstars such as Nas, Lupe Fiasco and Wiz Khalifa dance through your mind as he continues to lay down an impeccably smooth flowing stream of rhymes. Laid upon rock-solid beats with a chilled-out style and icy cool swagger, track after track floods the senses, lingering long after the final bar fades from the stereo speakers.
Chicago fans are quickly taking notice as well, with Young T’s tracks garnering more airplay through Jango Radio, along with a recent interview on UrbanGrindTV further spreading his reach. With a few shows already in the books including an appearance at the Do or Die Mixtape Party at JB’s in Elgin, plans for more appearances are in the works.
