"Blessed" Turns Out to be a Blessing!

"My 3 plus decades of radio have taught me much about the Reggae catalogue and having heard Caribbean Pulse it takes me straight to the Steel Pulse/Aswad era as well as Third World/Chalice when Reggae bands were real.....the baseline mmmmhhhh. Today's generation has a Reggae Band playing Reggae so those who have been yearning do dry up your tears...Blessed!" Barry G., Mello FM, Kingston, Jamaica.
Blessed Turns Out To Be A Blessing!
Caribbean_PulseCalifornia based Reggae group Caribbean Pulse recently released their new single, “Blessed.” The new track culled from their forthcoming album, Yesterday, debuted on the Barry G show, Mellow FM, Kingston Jamaica earlier this month.
“We haven’t released new music for nearly a decade.” Laments group leader Bill Smith. We didn’t quite know what to expect, we were a bit nervous but at the same time we knew “Blessed” was a good viable tune representative of our roots and what is happening in music today.”
In addition to the incredible response from the debut in the reggae homeland, Jamaica, “Blessed” is being played several times a day on the Maui based Q103 FM and stations in Guam, and the group home, Belize have also become early supporters
"Blessed" was exactly what we are with the latest offering from Caribbean Pulse. Listeners love the positive lyrics, play after play. It's hard to find a band that is both musically and lyrically on their “A” game, but CP nails it with "Blessed." Says Maui’s Q103 top morning jock, Shaggy.
Caribbean’s Pulse’s third album Yesterday is slated for release in the spring of 2014. In addition to the new material, the group remakes the Lennon-McCartney penned tune, “Yesterday.” Although the song has been covered over 3500 times, this is the first attempt for a reggae version with mass appeal.
“Of course we are very excited about the new project. This album will follow in the vein of our previous albums. We want to create good Reggae music and on this album will we are looking to push the envelope. We want to showcase the diversity of the group and share some really great music with our audience,” said Billy.
