New York Heavy Metal Band Teams Up With Jacie's Kids
Friday the 13th is going to be a lucky day for many of Long Island’s less-fortunate children. Local heavy metal band VileBorn is teaming up with Jacie’s Kids, a local Long Island charity dedicated to making sure the less fortunate children of Long Island have a great holiday season. The band is donating all profits from their ticket sales for their upcoming concert with fellow hard-rockers My Ticket Home (Rise Records – ADA/Fontana) to Jacie’s Kids charity. The band is also collecting donations of toys and monetary contributions for the cause.
The concert will be taking place at the Amityville Music Hall on December 13th.
VileBorn is no stranger to charity work. The band also has a partnership with the Harry Chapin Foundation, A fund created in 1981 to help make a positive difference in communities around the country. As of September of 2012 the Foundation has distributed over 1.7 million dollars to 413 organizations. Of these 219 grants were made to organizations in NYS and the remaining 180 in other states.
VileBorn has been referred to as “the fastest rising band in New York.” Through aggressive touring, active social media, and of course, a healthy dose of notoriety, the band has been able to build a devoted fan base spanning across the entire United States and the rest of the World.
