Tennyson: The Hidden Superstar
Who is TENNYSON? If you look at of some of the great singers today
like Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Adele, and John Legend, you can put
Tennyson in that category. Yes, he's that good! He's music and video's
don't lie. So it's fair to say, he's THE HIDDEN SUPERSTAR.
The crowd are always captivated when they hear his amazing voice, feeling like they've been taking to another world. It's one thing to hear it from his music, but to witness it live is very special.
He
can mix it up with a little bit of reggae and rap too, makes him a
multi-talented artist. No question that TENNYSON has raw talent, but
he's also one of the coolest people you'll ever know in person.
Jason (TENNYSON's manager) quote, "I've known TENNYSON for 20 years, and it is a honor to have him as my best friend. He can relate to anyone with his personality, and he has a very high passion for reaching the youth".
The artist that had drawn him in was AL B. Sure. He was drawn by the amazing diversity of styles and voice pitch shifting this artist displayed, it heavily influenced TENNYSON in becoming the diverse artist he is today. Later on, artists like Seal, Bjork, Prince and Sinead O' Conner also influenced him and increased his love for the genres of Pop, Rock and Dance.
These artists also helped TENNYSON becoming a great songwriter too. David (one of TENNYSON's producer) quote, "It's crazy, you give him one beat of any genres and he comes up with hooks and lyrics in seconds...once you hear it, it sounds like it going to be a top 3 hit on the Billboard charts".
For one year he accomplish of being one of the Top 10 Pop Artist in Charlotte Reverbnation. Out of a thousands of people he was selected to go to the next round of The Voice, the judges' eyes popped when he started singing acapella "Give Me One Reason" by Tracy Chapman. Then sang "Diamond" by Rihanna on the next round before advancing to the Blind Audition on TV.
But TENNYSON decided to back down from the competition, because he didn't want to take the chance to sign to a major record label, where they have total control of his music. Therefore, when the opportunity to do X-Factor also came his way, he decided not to show up for the audition he was scheduled for. That's explain why a couple years ago he turned down Sony and Columbia Records. Of course everyone thought he was crazy, but TENNYSON wants to keep his standards that he doesn't want to be limited of what he can do.
Now with Tate Music Group Record Label in the picture...they were very impressed once they heard TENNYSON's music but also the fact that his lyrics are clean. They offer him a distribution deal and the record label allowed him to have total rights to his music. That gave TENNYSON the green light to sign. I guess the wait was worth it!
He's album 'IGNITE' will now be released on January 21, 2014. From this album you'll see why he's truly one of the most unique artist you will ever hear. His diversity of genres will have you jamming to his music over and over again! With your support, TENNYSON won't be HIDDEN for long!
