Introducing International Artist MooSick
Born in Iraq, raised in India and breaking out in Canada, up and coming MooSick is unleashing a diabolical mix of intoxicating electro house, progressive house, dubstep and lovestep beats with an international flavor that’s truly his own. Capable of spinning a diverse selection of dance and electronic genres while igniting the party on an intercontinental scale, he now aims to launch his career to the next level with a series of incredible mixes and mashups of epic proportions.
MooSick is Mustafa Ismaeel (aka Moose) grew up immersed in musical culture, beginning to sing in middle school and eventually picking up the acoustic guitar and djembe. Influenced by everything from reggae and hip hop to trance and electronica, he quickly fell head over heels into the world of producing, mixing and DJing thanks to inspiration from artists such as DH Tiesto, Above and Beyond, Arming Van Buren and more.
After relocating to the Toronto area, MooSick started performing at university frat parties, private events and a number of nightclubs throughout the city. Successful sets at Club 77, Rehab and Club Fever landed him a coveted spot on Bacardi’s 2012 NH7 Music Festival in Bangalore, India where he pulled off a spectacular set in front of thousands of music fans from around the world.
Now incorporating the full spectrum of electronic music into his current mixes and mashups, MooSick continues to produce impressive material in his Loose Moose mix series, along with his Another Step series, ranging anywhere from 20 to over 60 minutes in length and is intended to take listeners on a exciting journey. No genre is safe from his enveloping musical gaze, including house, trance, bass, dubstep, chillstep, lovestep, moombahton and more.
While drawing comparisons to current heavy hitters such as Nicky Romero, Hardwell and Porter Robinson, MooSick is ready to begin crafting his own original material using advanced production and mastering softwares such as Ableton Live 9 and Izotope, signaling the next step in his burgeoning young career.
