Type B: Hip-Hop Like You've Never Heard Before

“Just another face and you don’t know my name, and you say it’s just a game, but not this time so watch me change your mind”…The opening lyrics to Type B’s latest single, “Change Your Mind”, lay out what this alternative hip-hop group is all about. Type B is certainly poised to make an impact on the national music scene.

TYPE B

After meeting at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, vocalist Ben Salzinger and multi-instrumentalist Zach Fuller teamed up as the alternative hip-hop group known as Type B and released four self-recorded and self-promoted mixtapes between 2009-2011. The music made a splash in the Omaha music community and the group soon found themselves performing at major local venues such as The Waiting Room, The Showroom and The Slowdown.

In December of 2012, the duo finished up recording their first widely distributed release through Omaha based Above Zero Records, entitled “The Other Line EP”. Their newest EP showcases the group’s diverse influences and unique sound described as “…an exciting mixture of alternative rock and modern hip-hop”. Local press in Omaha, such as The Reader and The Creightonian, have taken notice of the group and articles are due out at the end of January 2013.
