In the Army, he worked from the rank of private to sergeant as an Automated Logistical Specialist. His service includes a tour to Iraq, Korea, and Afghanistan. He earned numerous awards and badges while in the Army including an Combat Action Badge during his Iraq tour. Towards the end of his active duty contract, he decided to return to the civilian world. In August 2010, he received an Honorable Discharge and was assigned to an inactive unit until the end of his 8-year obligation to the Army. On December 13th of 2011, he had officially completed his obligation. He is now working and going to school in Austin, TX.

Damanion started writing poetry at the age of eight. By the time he was 10 he had transformed his poetry skills into raps and started forming songs. From the age of 14 until he left Greenville, MS, he recorded numerous songs all released locally. While in the Army is greatest accomplishment (music wise) was building and creating a studio in a hostile combat zone (http://newsblaze.com/story/20060515220739nnnn.nb/topstory.html) where he also recorded numerous songs. After being redeployed back from Iraq and shortly deployed to Korea, He completely stopped creating music and focused on his military career. Since his military career has come to an end, he has found sometime to finally get back to what he says really brings
him joy and that’s creating and recording music.
