New Rock Solo Project - Meaxic

ONE MAN…..ONE MISSION……ONE DESIRE…….NO THIS ISN’T A MOVIE PREVIEW.

This is an approach many artists of the new era are taking. We’ve already witnessed artists like Skrillex come up out of regular home-based projects. Now we have another but in the realm of prog rock/alternative rock and sprinkles of metal here and there – Meaxic.

This is the solo project of Jeet Suresh Paul – a singer/songwriter who also happens to play guitar, piano and drums. Now when you know how to play all these instruments to some degree and have a basic idea about recording software, you start to think “Hey…why not put it all together” and that’s exactly what’s been done under the 3 song demo released under the name Meaxic.

Inspired by almost all kinds of music but with strong influences from Alter Bridge, Red, Skyharbor and of course Metallica, this solo project tries to bring elements of melody, ambience and heavy riffs together. The music is not exactly commercial but at the same time, ‘radio-friendly’ elements are displayed at times.
However the most important aspect is that this is just a regular guy expressing himself the best way he knows how.

Jeet is from a small city in India (moved to NY recently). He has played around his city, played with various bands and has even helped out in his state’s theme song for the CommonWealth Games 2010 (held in Dehli, India).

After performing/recording covers and side projects for a while, Jeet has decided to come out and undertake his solo project under Meaxic and with it, the freedom to create music in his own way.
