Former Singer/guitarist for "Clarence Clemons Temple of Soul" Releases New CD

Billy Livesay, former singer/guitarist for Clarence Clemons’ band Temple of Soul, along with former Hall and Oates drummer Eddie Zyne, released a new CD on December 10, 2011, with their South Florida-based band The Livesays. The new album, titled “Rose Colored Glasses,” is jam packed with memorable pop/rock tunes with fresh melodies, catchy hooks, sentimental and thought provoking lyrics, soulful vocals, wailing guitars, screaming Hammond organ, sultry piano, pounding drums and driving bass.livesays_rosecoloredglasses

The lead vocalist/guitarist and the band's namesake, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Billy Livesay, toured for twelve years with E Streeter Clarence Clemons’s band "Temple of Soul," releasing 2 CDs, "Live In Asbury Park" Volumes 1 & 2, the second of which features Bruce Springsteen. Billy has shared the stage with so many national artists, his resume reads like a Who's Who of Billboard chart-toppers. Numerous Livesay songs have been placed in movies and television shows. Billy also currently fronts and tours with Tony Stevens, original bassist for Savoy Brown and Foghat, in Tony Stevens SLOW RiDE Original Foghat, along with drummer Eddie Zyne.

Eddie Zyne is no stranger to arenas, having toured and recorded with Hall and Oates, Desmond Child and Rouge, the Monkees, Rick Derringer and Foghat. Keyboardist Victor "Cuqui" Berrios, who grew up in New York City, offers a touch of the Big Apple to the band with his Hammond B3 and impassioned vocals. Tim “the Piano Man” Murphy brings his ear for harmony and adds a dose of Elton John style piano. Bassist Jorge Laplume, from Havana, Cuba, delivers a bass sound that is both funky and thunderous, reflecting his Latin roots coupled with a steady diet of the rock groups The Who and Free.

The combination of the versatility of backgrounds and personalities of these polished players is what makes their sound so unique and their live performance so distinguished. Two award winning music veterans had a hand in this project; the songs were mixed by Steve Gordon, Royal Palace Studios, (Prince, Rob Thomas, Diana Ross), and mastered by multi Grammy winner Michael Fuller, Fullersound, Inc., (Eric Clapton, Eagles, Tina Turner, Celia Cruz, Kenny Loggins).

What The Livesays have created is an album that is both memorable and moving with stories ranging from adolescence to adulthood, from finding love to losing love, which will touch your heart and rock your soul. Buy the new album "Rose Colored Glasses" and give it your full attention; you will undoubtedly relate so closely with a song or two, you just may feel as though it was written specifically for you.
