Visit Foreshadow’s Stranger End of Death
Unearthed from the outskirts of Tampa, Florida and surging from the
depths of the underground metal scene, Foreshadow is unleashing their
furiously unapologetic sound upon the American masses and beyond. With
two releases and a headlining tour already under their belts, this
four-piece behemoth is ready to hit the road again in support of their
self-released EP, The Stranger End of Death.
Founded in 2008 by guitarist Aaron Robinson and drummer Richard Hudson, Foreshadow set out to formulate their own uniquely brutal sound while carving out a disturbingly addictive niche within the burgeoning metal scene. While blending death, black, thrash and old school metals, the group immersed themselves in classics such as Slayer and Pantera, as well as Lamb of God, Nile and more. By 2009, the surging band fired off their first warning shot with Nations of Failure (Blastzone Entertainment) and hit the road to support the record.
Eventually joined by lead vocalist Daniel “Corkscrew” McConaghy and bassist Chris Billingsley, the Foreshadow lineup of lifelong musicians was solidified as they prepared to drop the megaton bomb known as The Stranger End of Death in 2012. Featuring five ferocious new tracks alongside three live recordings, the EP cuts through the filler and nonsense like a white-hot buzz saw, elevating their already dominant metal sound to soaring new heights.
Led by McConaghy’s trademark growling vocals and Robinson’s ear-shredding riffs, the record plows forth from the stereo, demolishing everything in its path before the listener even knows what hit them. The leadoff track “Meaning of Life” quickly became an underground hit, prompting a music video release in April 2012 followed by a headlining tour in South America. With a white-knuckled touring philosophy, the group played 15 shows across 3 countries before an appearance at Kaos Fest III, topped off by a homecoming performance back in Tampa.
While The Stranger End of Death continues to pick up steam, Foreshadow is ready to deliver their shock-and-awe brand of inspired metal to audiences around the country during 2013’s Southern Steel Spring Tour.
Both albums are currently available through the band’s official website, with digital downloads for sale on Amazon. Visit them on Facebook or Twitter for tour updates, listen to streaming audio via ReverbNation and check out live videos on their YouTube page.
