Orange County's Largest Hip-Hop Record


Juice County. When you hear the name what comes to mind? To some people it's just an alias for Orange County, the glorified home place of shows like The OC, Laguna Beach, The Real House Wives of Orange County, etc. To a lot of residents though, Juice County is a Movement co-signed by OC's hottest Hip-Hop label, "Good Guy Music Group" or "GGM". GGM is considered to many Hip-Hop heads and residents of Juice County as the Mecca of Hip-Hop in Southern California. The Founders of Good Guy Music are Recording/President Zameer Kurji who goes by the stage name Zami and CEO Sabih Shafi. Zami who is also the Labels front runner artist was born and Anaheim Hills California and met his Business Partner in High School. Sabih was born in the Bahamas and since then lived in Pakistan, Kenya, Dubai, and currently resides in Juice County. The Partners who sustain a brother-like relationship met at Canyon High School. Both have been involved heavily in booking shows and club promotion before and after their graduation which laid a solid foundation for the understanding of the way shows work in the music industry. Both of the owners entered the hip-hop realm together and have since the age of 16 been involved in it in some way or form.

Sabih and Zami opened up the Good Guy Music Recording Studio in September 2012 which has since then received major attention for Juice County residents and even an international buzz due to their multi cultural line up of artists who will be mentioned below. The Recording facility is 2500 square feet, complete with everything needed for local artists to jump start their career. The Company is split into two entities with the same name. The first entity consists of the service side of the company. The young entrepreneurs at Good Guy Music thought it would be beneficial for their label to bring in money by offering the services they use for themselves to benefit other up and coming artists. The facility is used for everything from Photo Shoots, Video Shoots, Audio Recording, Mixing and Mastering to, Website Development, CD Duplication, Event Planning and other Artist Development Services. 
The second and most impactful entity is the label side of the company. Good Guy Music is also a team of talented Artists, Executives, Producers, Videographers, Photographers, Sound Engineers, Interns and many more who all believe in the music being released from the label themselves. As mentioned before Zami who is not only the companies President but also a recording artist on the label who will be the first to be released from GGM. The entrepreneurial artist who is backed by his business partner Sabih, who is also his manager, will be releasing his first single called "Dream" on countless FM radio stations off of his EP titled "The Big Bang". Zami has been anticipated to "blow up" in his hometown since 2010 but because of his presidential obligations, he was forced to push his project back. The label is rumored to have 3 more artists who go by the name of TyaMac, Michael Dean, and Ray Bock. These artists project release dates have not been discharged by the label at the moment. With 2 ambitious leaders and countless supporting factors, Good Guy Music is sure to be a label for major media and fans to look into this year and onward.
