Tadizzle McNulty: A Jack of All Trades
WHO IS SHE:
Tadizzle McNulty is a 24-year-old singer, songwriter, and rapper. She was born in Louisiana and raised in Northern Virginia (DMV), so you could say she is humble like a country person, but quick and efficient like a city person. She started free-styling at the age of 11 then started recording songs in a little homemade studio in her parent’s basement. Later she took the studio mobile and starting writing songs, singing on the hook and rapping the verses.
HER STYLE:
Some compare her to the styles of Drake (but she can sing better). She loves making music for every genre from R&B and Hip-Hop to Rock and Pop. She can slow it down and sing a ballad, but also get crazy and belt out some rock in roll. We all know everything is better with a little rap thrown in it (It’s like the pretty sprinkles on a cupcake).
HER PHILOSOPHY:
Her goal is to break down barriers and open closed minds, whether it is behind the scenes as a songwriter or on center-stage performing. Remember a time where music meant something; where you could feel the raw emotion coming through the music; when people wanted to make music simply because they had passion to share and stories to tell; for the utter love? Artists are a vessel, a gateway between powerful words and nostalgic tunes. That is who she strives to be. She doesn’t want people to see just her, but feel the passion of her words and hear the heartbeat of her voice in her music. Music is love and passion. Music is life.
HER INSPIRATIONS:
She is inspired by artists that somehow succeed, no matter their predicament. Artists like Teddy Pendergrass, wooing women without even walking. Artists who write their own music like Missy Elliot, Alicia Keys and Ne-Yo. It is okay to perform other's music, but it takes a special person to deliver the whole package. She also admires great performers and innovative moguls like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Diddy, Lil-Wayne and Kanye West. Lastly, she is extremely grateful for artists who are relevant and make music that has no specific time frame like Lauryn Hill, Common, Nas, and John Legend.
