ABOUT KiiD7
Born Michael Earl Andrew McCann in 1994, KiiD7’s parents, Michael Tilley and Kyotta McCann, separated when he was only 9 years old. Raised by his grandmother, in New Orleans Calliope Projects in the Upper Third, KiiD7 started rapping at the age of 13. After hurricane Katrina he relocated to Houston, TX with his mother and aunt and this is where his musical career would really take hold. Here KiiD7 meets his best friend and musical partner Phillip Brown, and together they made music that started to bring a buzz until Phillip Brown was killed in 2012. With the loss of his best friend and musical partner KiiD7 has taken a tragedy and became a musical force of nature to honor his late best friend. Today KiiD7 is soaring to all new heights with his solo musical career and the memories of his best friend he seeks to work hard and amaze the world with his unique and catchy sound.
