Rhonda Head collaborates with Prague Orchestra by musiversal

Opaskwayak, MB Canada — Saturday, February 18th, 2021 –  Rhonda is a six-time international music award winner, and has travelled international to perform in Australia, United States and across Canada.

Rhonda composed the song Kisahkihitin I Love You in the Cree Language and composed the melody based on the landscape of her reserve Opaskwayak Cree Nation, in northern Manitoba.  The song was arranged for a symphony by Charles Cozens who is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The piano and vocals where recorded at the Exchange District Studio in Winnipeg, MB.  Piano by Andrew Legeny, who is based in The Pas, MB.

Recording session by musiversal, Post-production by musiveral – Dan Brown. Music production by musiversal, Prague Orchestra by musiversal based in the UK. The song’s melodic sounds bring’s a sence of warm comforting feelings of love and caring. The lyrics are sung in the Indigenous Language of the Swampy Cree Dialect in Northern Manitoba.  The song is then translated in spoken word in the English language.

ABOUT

Rhonda has received 14 nominations in total and won six international music awards since she began her music career in 2010.  Rhonda has had the opportunity to perform in some of the most amazing venues – Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Centre, the Viper Room, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 5 Lands Walk Festival in NSW, Australia, and numerous other venues.  Rhonda also recently released an autobiography called Mezzo-Soprano – Memoirs of a Rez Girl.  It wasn’t always an easy road for Rhonda, she was diagnosed with a brain tumour when she was 22.  Rhonda took a year off to recuperate from the 11.5 hour surgery.  When she thought her life was back on track she received devastating news when she was 30 that the tumour grew back.  Once again, she took time off and took care of her health.  Despite the setbacks and challenges, Rhonda continued to follow her passion of music.
