Ashten “Kidd Arod” Rodriguez is a up and coming independent hip/hop, alternative rock, artist from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Kidd Arod is also the owner of his own Hip/Hop collective “D.E.A.D? Records. (Doesn’t Everyone Act Different?).”. D.E.A.D? Records stands for the difference in people and shows everyone it is more than okay to be different from the rest of the world.

Kidd Arod has been making music his whole life, ever since he was 13 years old he learned to create music on his own! Kidd Arod has an amazing skill of flowing his words together and setting the vibe just right, he is also very versatile, ranging from hip/hop rap music all the way to alternative music. Arod also mixes the two genres together to create his own style/feel of music.

Ashten Rodriguez is just a kid with a dream to send a message of positivity and hope to the world and possibly change it for the better. At least for somebody. The Kidd’s main goal in his career is to inspire other kids like him who feel as if they don’t fit in, or to help other people that are lost in their lives see that not all hope is gone when it seems to be gone. “I believe in manifestation. Because with some hard work, dedication, and persistence, you can achieve any dream that any kid could ever have.” – Kidd Arod. 2021.

Kidd Arod’s story can be heard in his first official album “Just a KiDD With a DREAM!”. Where he explains about the struggles he’s faced as a lonely child. Crime, addiction, poverty, depression, and most of all, the tragic loss of his Dad while he was serving time in prison. Leaving no one there to help the 16 year old survive and get through life except his mother, and his grandmother.

Ashten “Kidd Arod” Rodriguez, is just an abandoned and inspired kid with a dream to help, enlighten, or entertain his fans with his unique music. Ashten plans to continue D.E.A.D? Records and also plans to get as big as possible for his message will be heard.

Kidd Arod has released a few mixtapes here and there but his biggest project “Just a KiDD With a DREAM!” Is his debut album into the game.
