Michelle Love, Former Ikette to Release Debut Album

The embodiment of Pure excitement, energy, and life –is undoubtedly an understatement when is comes to Michelle Love. With the release of her debut album “Michelle Love Stand,” on November 6th, this highly energetic diva, and songwriter has turned her passion for music, dance, and plain outstanding showmanship into an album of unorthodoxed Gospel/Funk that can be danced to in the club scene.

Although Michelle was raised in the church and had a strong Gospel Music background, she did not professionally pursue her musical talents until her successful appearance in the musical about Sam Cook entitled "Inquest," (Jerry Jones, LaWanda Page) at the Ebony Showcase Theatre. She toured the US, Europe, & Japan. She then continued and made appearance performances in the club scene around Los Angeles, San Bernardino & Riverside Counties. She also made appearances in Palm Springs and Several Casino's in Las Vegas.

Her recording credits and appearance performances with greats to include: Rick James, James Brown, George Clinton, Gladys Horton of the Marvelettes, Luther Ingram, and Kris Lamans of the Platters. They also include performances with bands and groups such as: The Time, The Gap Band, Lakeside, Rolls Royce, and Mary Jane Girls to name a few. Past credits also include touring and recording with legends to include: Ike Turner, BB King, Solomon Burke, and Gospel Music Pioneer Andrae Crouch.

You can definately tell and see her background training in her high energetic shows. She definitely still rolls on the river like she did when she was an Ikette. Before one song is done you have to reach for oxygen and rest from so much energy being exerted. Whew!

You get an exciting ride off this CD, from the Funky sounds and Bass-driven, Gospel/Funk title track, "Stand" that tells much needed instructions of how to handle life challenges – to the Sultry sounds of the ballad "Taste and See" Of which you are encouraged to relax and try a different path – Michelle Love's sound runs the gamut of Gospel, Funk, R&B, and Pop.

"Michelle Love speaks to people from all walks of life to uplift, encourage and just have plain fun.” Most of All Get up and Dance!
