New Single "Think of You" from Albert Garrett and The Bad Romantics

Los Angeles based musician Albert Garrett is a busy, busy guy. He has already firmly established himself as a regular on the national touring scene—with over 750 shows under his belt—but, also as a stalwart and reliable backing guitarist and singer opening for bands like Jet, CKY and Fuel. Great credentials for anyone barely 25 years old, but add a slew of co-writing credits with numerous artists—including A-list and rising stars such as Bruno Mars (“Talking to the Moon,” Doowops & Hooligans, 2010), and Cobra Starship (“Fool Like Me,” Night Shades, 2011)—and suddenly you have the tantalizing promise of, perhaps, a new Butch Walker. Garrett's work as a songwriter has also been licensed for use in multiple television shows, including The X FactorSo You Think You Can Dance, and CBS Sports Spectacular.

Despite having earned legitimate credibility with touring bands and sitting in as a collaborator with numerous mainstream artists, Garrett spent 2012 focusing efforts on giving teeth to his own songcraft as the leader of his own band, The Bad Romantics. With the release of their debut EP, Love at First Sight, iTunes’ Featured Album for the week of November 20th, 2012; and initial radio airplay by Butterflies Radio, KYHY (92.5 FM The Wave), and WMPG (Portland ME 90.9/104.1), Garrett once again has proven himself as a personality to be recognized in the ever-changing landscape of alternative music.

Early 2013 saw Garrett switch gears once again, with the release of his first solo single, “Marylou,” a laid back folk track featuring only vocals, acoustic guitar and piano. Again with semblance of classic Dylan, Garrett's gravelly voice and sing-along songwriting drove “Marylou” to be an iTunes Featured Release for the week of March 18th 2013, garnering a position on the front page of iTunes Music.

Garrett's brand new single is a raw live track entitled “Think of You,” accompanied by a live studio video. Again featuring simple instrumentation and tracked entirely live, the lyrics walk the fine line between true love and dangerous obsession, perhaps becoming Garrett's most poignant work to date.

"The bitter truth is hard to take, but what I do keeps you away, when all I do…Is think of you."

“Think of You” is a featured release on iTunes for the week of July 23rd, 2013 and is available through all major digital distributors.
