Halo Haven Releases Their Debut Album, Another Chapter
Halo Haven, a rock band from Oregon, has released their debut album, Another Chapter. The album’s tone stretches from heart wrenching to heart pounding due to the unique vocal melodies and lyrics of vocalist, Erica Howton, and the deep, crunchy guitar tones by Brett Poindexter. They’re most compared to famous hard rock acts such as Evanescence and Flyleaf with guitars that resemble Sevendust and Dream Theater. The album is now available for purchase on CD Baby, Amazon, and iTunes where clips of each song can be heard. Howton has been looking forward to her first professional album for fifteen years. Although she has recorded professionally many times, she feels that Halo Haven’s original material needed to be pressed.
“As soon as I heard the beat I loved it. Her voice is so smooth and gives it a nice touch to the hard rock beat! I really like it, it has great potential,” said Stacey, a reviewer on NumberOneMusic.com. She was referencing the first song on the album called “Change Forever.”
Halo Haven is said to be the band’s safe haven, where they can release the troubles of the world which is intensely reflected in Howton’s lyrics. She dedicated the ballad “Falling Down” to her mother. Like many others, she has struggled immensely with family problems, including her mother’s suicide in 2009.
After reviewing the album, Mike White Presents from London, England concludes: “Wicked vocal skills and a colossal guitar sound... a stunning combo!" Another Chapter is already picking up media attention from music executives nationwide and in the UK.
