Brooklyn Hip Hop Artist John Junius Releases 'The Headbanger'
New York City – home to one of the most vibrant, exciting and busiest communities of hip hop music is welcoming in another contender, as indie artist John Junius prepares to make his presence known throughout all five boroughs. Hailing just off I-95 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, this fiery surging talent has already left his imprint on his new home in Brooklyn while riding high off the early success of his latest release The Headbanger.
Completely independent, confident and inspired, Junius finds himself in the middle of America’s biggest and brightest lights, ready to take on the fans and critics while scaling the mountain that is the rap industry. His influences run deep with historic hip hop greats, trend-setting DJs and today’s best; including KRS-ONE, Tupac, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Red Alert, DJ Premier, DJ Clue and many more. Thanks to a tireless work ethic, he finds himself constantly in the studio, writing and recording hot new tracks for upcoming mixtapes, singles and more.
After founding 48 Street Entertainment, he set out to drop a trio of bass-thumping tracks, destined for radio success and the turntables of New York’s hottest clubs. The Headbanger hit streets and digital retailers in spring 2013, featuring “Me n Muzik,” “Everything That I Want!” and “Kissed by God,” each one a testament to Junius’ rock solid flow, intoxicating swagger and songwriting talent. As temperatures on the street continued to rise, his label’s inaugural release was quickly followed by a featured track on an YMCMB mixtape.
While his label gets underway and The Headbanger singles generate internet radio airplay around the country, Junius continues to prepare his debut LP for release in the near future.
