Moral Defect Releases New Album

Blurring musical borders and smashing genre boundaries, Southern California’s Moral Defect are serving up their unique blend of rock, rap and funk in heaping portions to music fans throughout Los Angeles. Taking cues from bands like 311 while adding their own signature flair and wide array of influences, the four-piece group is finally ready to unveil their newest record, Volume 2.

Formed in late 2011, Moral Defect members JT Walters, Joe Rockerfella, Kevin Saboe and Kyrt Diamond harness a dynamic combination of personalities and musical influences to generate an experience rich in imagination and creativity. Mixing notes from rock, metal, hip hop, funk, old school rap and drum corps, the group creates an intoxicating blend of laid back music, doused in warm vibes and smoky haze.

Practicing seven days a week for hours at a time, the foursome has gelled into a cohesive unit, working the ebb and flow of their upbeat, funky tunes with effortless ease at venues across Los Angeles. From the iconic Whiskey A Go Go on Sunset in Hollywood to the annual 311 Cruise in the Caribbean, music fans are quickly learning about one of the hottest up and coming acts in California.

After hitting the studio to record an EP during early 2012, Moral Defect is unleashing their follow-up effort, Volume 2 onto the unsuspecting ears of the world. Packed with energy, riffs and raps, the record features seven more tasty bites of rap-influenced alternative rock from their ever-growing musical catalog. Capable of everything from grooving rock thumpers and smoke-fueled chill-outs to covering 50 Cent’s “In Da Club,” the group has a little something for everyone both on stage and in the studio.

Fans can sample a delectable platter of Moral Defect audio on their official Reverb Nation and Sonicbirds pages, with live videos of past performances available on YouTube. Both of their EPs are up for purchase on iTunes now, and stay updated with all the latest show dates on Facebook or Twitter.
