[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Austin Texas — Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 — Born (Robby) Robert Thomas Nash in Houston Texas to a meagre income family. Single-parent household, his Mom bought a set of blue sparkle Ludwig drums which he played over 20 years and retired that instrument to write songs and play the guitar. Roots come from Gospel, Blues and Soul genre’s and Country, Alternative music. Influences are many., but a few here, The Supremes, Roy Orbison, Harold Melvin, 4 Tops, many Houston greats, George Strait, Toby Keith, and Keith Whitley among the most famous ICONS and an avid admirer of all of them. Home is Austin Texas a little way out of the city. Loves the old-time Memphis and Nashville Tennessee music history. Loves the history and enjoys Beale Street in Memphis and what happens there. Great vacation spot.

A quote once stated “A hit song is a piece of someone’s life so as long as you have a hook, mood, lyrics, tell the story in the verses and sum it all up in the chorus. there’s a pretty chance, with a little luck, you can make it. If not, don’t ever stop and never ever let them see you sweat. Don’t change anything if only a handful is negative.”

ABOUT

Robert Thomas has been writing an American Country or Neo for many years. Using a Taylor acoustic and a Fender electric Stratocaster to do the work, it takes many musicians to piece together this type of music. Building a foundation first. Using more gain, reverb and other effects on the electric guitar gives the music a more non-traditional country sound. Then adding fiddle, piano, pedal steel on a couple, a kicking old set of Ludwig drums, like the ones played at age 10, with a deep snare, rounds out the production. The lyrics are smooth, tells a story, has great guitars, fiddles and drums. Some songs have a deeper meaning. Race to Somewhere is dedicated to his Mother who suffers from dementia at 90 years of age.
