Jay’e R. is an award-winning Independent Pop/R&B recording artist, songwriter, and model that helms from the Queen City. He began singing at age 6, influenced by Whitney Houston, Selena, Tina Turner, Celine Dion, and Luther Vandross just to name a few. His voice is different yet reminds you of the singers of the 60’s and 70’s such as Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations and Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind, and Fire with his strong falsetto voice. As a songwriter, he sings about love and relationships. His debut album, ‘Like I Love You’ topped the iTunes Top 100 Albums in June 2016 and since that time he continues to shine as the star that we see him to be. In NC, he has had a total of eighteen #1 singles on the Independent Pop and R&B charts. As an Independent artist, he has also won a total of 17 Independent Music Awards from Pop Album of the Year to Pop Latino Song of the Year.
