Different Drummers: New Album featuring Dr. John Kline
Doctor John Kline has been busy working in his guiTARDIS. The result
is a timy wimy CD that has cuts recorded, and never before released,
over the past decade. This release (CD and digital download formats)
marks John's sixth independently produced CD, "Different Drummers," that
was released just days after his Christmas CD (365 Days of Christmas).
Both albums are available in CD and Digital Download format through the
usual indy outlets via CD Baby, who does an awesome job of distributing
your music for you.
Since his critically acclaimed "Instrumental Conditioning" CD in 2006 and "I of the Storm" in 2010, John has been honing skills on other instruments besides guitar. On "Different Drummers" and "I of the Storm," John plays keyboards, drums, recorder, violin, harmonica, and sings. Indeed, on the Christmas CD he sings "O Holy Night" and "White Christmas." His project studio is self-contained, and handles everything from recording to mastering.
John's passion for music is fueled by his spirituality, and he "feels closest to God" when he is composing or performing. John balances his musical endeavors with a private practice, where as a Clinical Psychologist he helps people learn to cope with mental illness and live happier and more productive lives. His music is a bit hard to classify. His influences are many, and his stylistic boundaries broad. If you like Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai, you will probably like John's music. Fans of Pink Floyd, Journey, and Queen also tend to like him.
