Pastor Anna Neal Debuts Breakthrough

The time for breaking through is near. Multi-talented and spiritually rich singer-songwriter Pastor Anna Neal is making her mark on the contemporary Christian music scene with the debut of her first album, Breakthrough. Raised on musical tradition and guided by the power of God, this preacher, psalmist, musician, vocalist, arranger, and recording artist is utilizing her inspiration and calling to spread positivity, faith and love throughout her community. 

Born and bred in the Compton neighborhood of South Central Los Angeles, Pastor Anna was brought up in a home filled with music and gospel. Learning the ways of Jesus Christ at a young age, she quickly found her path in life, choosing to pursue the good Word while fending off the trespasses of her surroundings. With her father as a singer for the 60s doo-wop group The Creators, her uncle a member of The Vibrations, and a gospel-singing mother, Pastor Anna was destined to walk in their shoes. 

She enjoyed early success in 1996 while opening for The Stylistics, appearing on the cable TV show Singsations and earning the title of San Diego’s Best Rhythm & Blues Female Vocalist. After several years pursuing her college degree and a career as a legal analyst back in South Central, Pastor Anna has rededicated herself to a life of preaching, singing and songwriting. 

Released by Tate Music Group on July 10, Breakthrough features eight powerful movements of Christian R&B mixed with a variety of gospel, soul and even a touch or two of hip hop. Her musical influences and desire to spread the good news of Jesus Christ are as crystal clear and honest as any artist within the contemporary scene, as she consistently delivers a poignant and heartfelt message. With a potent combination of inspiration ranging from Aretha Franklin and Shirley Caesar to her loving parents and God, her debut is already earmarked for success.

She’s currently slated to appear this September on the High Heels and God’s Will Tour in Los Angeles, as well as the Prayzefest Music Awards in Atlanta, along with local shows throughout Southern California.
