Tell us about yourself and your music


Lord Roka is an American born rapper and songwriter. Having his beginnings as an artist in 1998, influenced by artist Jay-Z; when hearing “Big Pimpin”; for the first time in Los Angeles, California. Known for his mixtape “Year of Elevation & Appreciation: A View For The Women” which captured the hearts of many of his women supporters and fans and he feels has put him on top as one of the most influential and versatile recording artist the WestCoast has ever produced. Before the mixtape he released his first album “My Evolutionary Gift” in 2012. Since his parents were both from Honduras, Spanish was a language spoken heavily in the home. Roka learned to rap in Spanish, which landed him his first record deal in 2004 to Hood4LifeRecords/Universal.He is Now working on his new EP “Lord Roka”


 


Talk to us more about your latest release


Where Tha Keys is my latest single produced by Maurice Mcgee. The song gives a hype delivery about being tired of being down and out of money and the need to fall in love with opportunity so that you may be wealthy and take care of your needs.


 



 


What inspired you to write this release?


Tired of being out of money and having little resources inspired my release.


Any plans to release a video?


Music video is in the process of being completed.


Any plans to hit the road?


Right now I am currently on a LA County tour. Keep up with my social media sites to find out the dates.


As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?


A unique logo and consistent music that people can ride and dance too.
